Once you have clicked on her bio, to the right you will see a link to her blog. It hasn't been updated in the past month, but take time to look at it and see what she is like as a person.
I have found a video where Deborah talks about being an author and how to tell a story. Make sure the sound is turned up high as she is speaking to a group of students and is hard to hear at certain points.
One more short video clip where the author talks about writing. I love to hear about how authors struggle just like we do when writing and how they can inspire us to keep trying at things!

I have learned that Debra when she was writing about Melba she talking about her brother. I have also learned that Debra gave th first copy of Love Ruby Lavander to her brother. What inspired her to write each little bird that sings? Why did she want to be an Author?
ReplyDeleteI learned that Melba Jane was Debra's brother execpt for as a girl. I also learned that she would even dare give her brother the first copy and say he id a girl. I would ask her why did you want revenge. I would also ask her why did you make her a girl insted of a guy who is living on the street.

Also that why she wrote LOVE RUBY LAVENDER was because when they were younger he was mean and wrote about that, except he is a girl I the book LOVE RUBY LAVENDER. I was wondering If Declaration was her brother too? Also how many books will she write.
